There were a few things I had to change with this film since my cousin Mikayla was exposed to someone with covid at school so I had to rewrite the script to be on zoom. The filming for this film was really crazy, but we all had a lot of fun. This film has really improved acting I feel and also has more angles and variety. We filmed a lot outside and also inside for a little bit. The process of making this film was defiantly interesting since it came from only a small idea from Mikayla while filming our last film. Today we actually filmed everything since our schedules were a bit crazy. We all did really while and we filmed for a long time. It was also such a nice day out so we definitely had a lot of light. I really do like this film a lot and once I also edit it together I think it’s going to look really good. I’m really proud of our work on this film.

Intention Definition & Exploration of Ideas: During this marking period, I continued my theme of stories and histories and making a sequel to my first film. I wanted to build more onto the story and you also get to see more of the characters from the first film. I focused on the time travel element and focusing more on 2020 and what was going on. I also focused on parallel universes and if you look more into their story you see how the original characters are still there at the end of the second film. We also added on some comedy courtesy of my cousin Natalie. I wanted to make this more of an improvement than the first film. I also made sure that we worked on remembering lines more and had a better way of reading lines in case we forgot them. I also paid more attention to clothing and having more content in the film. I do wish I would have had more camera angles, but the camera work was better since we had a tripod and filmed more during the day. We also had more modern years with...

Introduction: This week’s blog post is about the role of color in creating the right atmosphere. A lot of times in film and shows colors help the audience get an idea of the tone of the film and the emotions of a character. Certain colors in the film are usually associated with a character's feelings and actions. I found this amazing site that explains and gives examples of color used in the film. The primary reason for using color in the film is to make the images colorful, dynamic, and beautiful. But the use of color doesn't just help with the visual storytelling. The use of color in the film also tells us the story and gives us more of an understanding of what a character might want us to think about them and affects how we see them. A good example that I can think of at the top of my head would be the horror movie Suspiria . Both the 1977 version and the recent 2018 version. They both have such an amazing color pallet and also have opposite color chooses. While the 1977...

Introduction: This week’s blog post is about the perceptions of youngsters in horror films. I thought this would be an interesting film topic since there is a lot of kids in horror films and they make a lot of impact on these films and anything in the horror genre. Kids in horror films can be terrifying and memorable in horror movies or tv shows. Kids increase the fear factor since most people don’t want anything to happen to the kid and make the story even scarier if a kid experiences these supernatural and scary things. According to an article , I found they said that “Kids are an easy tool to use to depict the ongoing battle of good vs. evil in horror movies and TV shows. Children are especially effective here because their interactions with evil highlight the idea of lost innocence, which is something every audience member can relate to.” This is a way that kids are used in the horror genre and makes the movie more interesting to watch. It can be really scary movies or even ...
