Intention Definition & Exploration of Ideas: During this marking period, I continued my theme of stories and histories and making a sequel to my first film. I wanted to build more onto the story and you also get to see more of the characters from the first film. I focused on the time travel element and focusing more on 2020 and what was going on. I also focused on parallel universes and if you look more into their story you see how the original characters are still there at the end of the second film. We also added on some comedy courtesy of my cousin Natalie. I wanted to make this more of an improvement than the first film. I also made sure that we worked on remembering lines more and had a better way of reading lines in case we forgot them. I also paid more attention to clothing and having more content in the film. I do wish I would have had more camera angles, but the camera work was better since we had a tripod and filmed more during the day. We also had more modern years with it being 2005, 2010, and 2016 and giving as a range of personalities and also the way that we all dress. It was super cold out the weekend we filmed, but my cousin Natalie was a big trouper, and my cousin Mikayla wasn’t as into it most because it was so cold out. It was fun to also see them and spend time together. I wanted to focus more on history in this film since the first film mostly talked about time travel and the character’s connection.

Planning: Planning was easy with the storyboard and the script was also easier to write as well. The storyboard was pretty simple since we already had an idea from the first film how we’d make this movie. The script process was also better too since we all worked on it together and I added more of their ideas into the film. It also was very bright and more detailed than the first film. It also was more professional since the overall quality was better and we also had more of a plan than before. It seems that every time we film though we always seem to end up filming the available last weekend. Which is always hectic but we always make sure that we get what we need. We always make sure we map out when we can film and all do our best when we are all available and making sure we get done what we can. Planning for filming the film its self was a bit more difficult, but we made sure that we filmed what we could each day. We did have good enough to film everything on time which was good. Before and I created an outline with the storyboard and although we didn’t get to do more because of time I think we did well with the time we had. Along with the planning, I made sure that we all were involved and had good teamwork. Planning I think was a bit easier for us since we all worked on incorporating our ideas and all working on the script and our acting. The only thing with these films is that they do start to annoy you after a while and the first film shows that since we had to film it twice. I do think that the second film is a much better improvement though.

Producing: The actual filming for the film did go very well. We did have to redo one or two shots, but overall it looked much better than before. It was a more professional filming experience since we had more of an idea of what to do. We had the weekend to film and we split up scenes to film for each day and then an extra one in case we wanted to add something or redo a scene. We also made sure that for lines we knew them and we had a much easier way of looking at the script in case we needed it. If we did have more time and it wasn't so cold out I think we would have been able to film more angles and more scenes. I also wanted to make sure that during filming we all kind of expressed our characters. It almost seems that in this film we break the four walls since we do look at the audience a few times, but it's almost as if we know that someone is watching us since we never truly understand how our worlds ended up like this. The making of the film was a good mixture of teamwork on my cousin’s part. Although a few times it was very cold out they were troopers with filming. My cousin Natalie let us use her laptop for lines in case we needed them and then Mikayla helped with the camera and let us use her tripod. I’m also glad that we were able to film during the day since the last film was explicitly at night and it was also very cold and creepy. Overall the whole filming experience did go well and my cousins did like the final film. For these films, I usually like a test version where I mostly edit it for fun in IMovie for us to get a rough idea of what it’ll look like and then I edit an actual version for school in premiere pro.

Evaluating: Looking over the experience it went well and I think everyone was a big help that was involved. I think we achieved all the goals for the film although there are a few I think we missed. One of the goals I had was to make more camera angles and unfortunately, we didn't get to do that mostly because of time and it is very cold out when we filmed. We also were not able to film anywhere else other than my cousin's house since we could not drive ourselves and everyone else was busy. I did have some problems with the editing since some of the sounds in the background wouldn't go away, but I did my best with covering it up with music. Looking at the final product of the films and then the two together I think they are good as a series. The experience with creating this film was good since we had more experience with making films together. Looking at the final movie I do think that we did a good job with bringing this film altogether. I had a few goals for this film and we did complete some and some we didn’t. I knew that I wanted to make a much better version of the first film and I think we did accomplish that well. There are still things in the film I would definitely change some of the dialogue and some of our acting. I do like the final film and I think we did well.

Integrating: The knowledge I’ve learned from my other films helped with this film since I wanted to make sure that it was the best it could be. For this film, I definitely wanted to make sure that we filmed in good conditions and had better camera work since the last film looked really low quality. I had a lot of goals and I made sure we had a clear idea of what we wanted to wear and where we would be and everything. I also wanted to make sure that we had fun with what we were doing and I also made sure as the director that we were on track and making sure everything was ready. From the first film, I wanted to make sure that I took some of the worst parts of that film and redeem them in this film. Like the garage scenes aren't too and in the second film, but they’re better than than the first film. I also made sure that I added more variety in costumes rather than just the two we had in the last film. We also did work on our acting I think, but there are still a few rough patches with a few things. What I learned with making the second film was that not everything is going to be perfect and that you just need to make sure that you have fun with what you're doing and make the best out of the experience creating the film. With both the films it really was a cool and fun experience with getting to deal with this history with these characters and then them being in 2020 and being able to then go back to their times and helping others and maybe even prevent COVID in their times.
