There were a few things I had to change with this film since my cousin Mikayla was exposed to someone with covid at school so I had to rewrite the script to be on zoom. The filming for this film was really crazy, but we all had a lot of fun. This film has really improved acting I feel and also has more angles and variety. We filmed a lot outside and also inside for a little bit. The process of making this film was defiantly interesting since it came from only a small idea from Mikayla while filming our last film. Today we actually filmed everything since our schedules were a bit crazy. We all did really while and we filmed for a long time. It was also such a nice day out so we definitely had a lot of light. I really do like this film a lot and once I also edit it together I think it’s going to look really good. I’m really proud of our work on this film.

In Hugo, Georges Méliès, who does not want to remember the part of his life where he created fantastic and magical worlds through films, states, “My life has taught me one lesson, Hugo Cabret, and not the one I thought it would. Happy endings only happen in the movies.” Why does Méliès say this? He says this because in his films he’s been able to live a fantasy life and love out his dreams, but in real life he is stuck in one place. He feels like he’s accomplished something so great but he’s not able to feel like what he did doesn't get him an own happy ending. He himself can’t live up to his own legacy and have his own happy ending to his own life  Why does he want to forget about the films he made? Pre-Production Blog Post 4

  For my last film this year, I decided to make a film essay. I liked what Aaron decided to do so I thought I’d give it a try. I decided to do my film essay on the musical genres and film musicals. Since our performance for Cinderella is coming up next week I thought it would be a fun thing to work on something having to do with musicals. I mostly did the research funny enough at free times I had at practice. I thought it would be motivation for me to get my script done. I am worried about finding all the necessary clips I need, but that can easily be fixed with fewer examples. Below I have the introduction to the film essay introducing the topics. Above I then have my storyboard as an outline for how I will structure my video. I will be discussing the musical genre and then musicals in film.
