Introduction: This week I wanted to look into the history of sci-fi. I've always liked sci-fi films there, very creative and futuristic. Me and my family would always watch face off on the syfy channel and we were amazed with the creations they made. It's a genre characterized by stories involving conflicts between science and technology, human nature, and social organization in futuristic or fantastical worlds. Most of the films are created using special effects technology. It's really an amazing genre since it combines a lot of creativity with technology to create one big film. One of the most well known sci-fi films is Avatar and series like the Marvel movies, Star Wars , and Star Trek . People, even more today as technology evolves, love special effects in films because it's so fun to watch.   Production Blog Post 11/15 This film has to be one of the most difficult to make, mostly due to scheduling and the people I filmed with. I filmed with my cousin Mikayla and then we also added in my other cousin Natalie. At first we could film due to both of us working and eventually this past weekend we finally filmed. I had to rewrite the script multiple times since we could not go to a certain place, or if I had to film alone. We finally did film, but my cousins went mostly off script and it felt like my one film all over again when my brother went of script (I think you remember that one). The whole film was a bit of amess , but it was a lot of fun to film with my cousins. Some things make sense, some don't, its just funny to watch. Introduction: For this weeks blog post I wanted to look at Alfred Hitchcock and his impact on the film industry. I really like Hitchcock's work, the first film I watched of his was Psycho in film class. My favorite movie of his I've watches is probably The Lady Vanishes (1938). I've always loved mysteries and so I really enjoyed figuring out the mystery o the lady that vanished with the main characters. I later watched the remake from 2013, but nothing can compare to the original one. Alfred Hitchcock has a very unique style of movies and its hard to replicate it. He has created a lot of films that are still watched and people still take inspiration from them today. Psycho was an still is his most influential film and his legacy still lives on even know. Introduction:  For this weeks blog post I wanted to look into the art of stop motion movies. Some of my favorite movies to watch when I was little where stop motion movies. I liked stop motion movies because of Tim Burton . Stop motion takes a lot of time and skill, its a really fun and amazing genre of movies. Stop motion can be mostly clay, but there are a lot of different types like: Claymation- moving clay (which I already mentioned), object-Motion- moving or animating object, pixilation- moving or animating people, or cutout-Motion- moving paper/2D material, puppet Animation- moving puppets, and silhouette Animation- backlighting cutouts. Some of my favorite movies as a kid where stop motion of some sort. We would watch a Claymation Christmas almost every Christmas and other Claymation's for holidays and its very fun and creative.   Introduction: For this week’s blog post I wanted to look into Broadway musicals made into movies, or vice versa. A lot of my favorite musicals have been made into movies or musicals have been inspired by movies. I've loved musicals ever since I was little I've never seen one live, but I love the movie versions of them because it makes me feel like I’m actually there. The genre of musicals in film is called Musical Film. Musical film is a film genre in which songs by the characters are interwoven into the narrative, sometimes accompanied by dancing. Its a really unique genre of film and definitely requires a lot of creativity, weather you bringing a stage musical onto the screen or creating your own musical for the big screen. Musical films usually contain elements of theater, and performers often treat their song and dance numbers as if a live audience were watching. This is my storyboard, I just have a brief outline for each scene. I didn't have any location releases since most of the film is going to be shot outside or in a public place. I might not be able to do one scene depending on whether I can make it to the renaissance faire, but even if we can't I'm sure we can get creative. I wanted to use the outside scenery the most in this film since a lot of these places would most likely be outside. It would also be more difficult to film in places because of what's going on. I also watched to incorporate historical tings without exactly having to film inside. It could also give the film amazing view of the outside scenery. For music I was probably going to have light piano and I was going to use some actual clips from women's suffrage movements, I don't know if its going to work, but I'm going to do my best.   Introduction:   For this week's blog post I wanted to look into Special effects without computer graphics. Before digital effects where used film makers had to be very creative with how special effects were made and created. I was inspired to look into this after watching Hugo again for the end of the school year last year. It inspired me how  created and made his special effects for his films. Today we see a lot of CGI used in movies and a good amount of practical effects are still used too and both do look advanced and very real. While looking into how special effects it definitely is an art how they were able to create them.
