This is my storyboard, I just have a brief outline for each scene. I didn't have any location releases since most of the film is going to be shot outside or in a public place. I might not be able to do one scene depending on whether I can make it to the renaissance faire, but even if we can't I'm sure we can get creative. I wanted to use the outside scenery the most in this film since a lot of these places would most likely be outside. It would also be more difficult to film in places because of what's going on. I also watched to incorporate historical tings without exactly having to film inside. It could also give the film amazing view of the outside scenery. For music I was probably going to have light piano and I was going to use some actual clips from women's suffrage movements, I don't know if its going to work, but I'm going to do my best.

This is my script, I had a lot of fun writing it and I'm excited to be able to work on a film with my best friend. We’ve created short films together, but I think this is going to be a fun experience since we can both dress up and go through history. I've always been interested in history and it'll be interesting to make a history film. I had a bit of a struggle with writing it since I didn't know if I would be able to film some things, but I came up with a plan with how to get the shots. I've had a couple ideas of where I want to film and I've made a general list for when me and Mikayla start filming:


  • Some kind of field or place with space
  • Outside the church at the labyrinth
  • Renaissance Faire
  • Walking path
  • Any extra places we need

Hugo Reflection Questions

In Hugo, Georges Méliès, who does not want to remember the part of his life where he created fantastic and magical worlds through films, states, “My life has taught me one lesson, Hugo Cabret, and not the one I thought it would. Happy endings only happen in the movies.” Why does Méliès say this? He says this because in his films he’s been able to live a fantasy life and love out his dreams, but in real life he is stuck in one place. He feels like he’s accomplished something so great but he’s not able to feel like what he did doesn't get him an own happy ending. He himself can’t live up to his own legacy and have his own happy ending to his own life  Why does he want to forget about the films he made? Pre-Production Blog Post 4

  For my last film this year, I decided to make a film essay. I liked what Aaron decided to do so I thought I’d give it a try. I decided to do my film essay on the musical genres and film musicals. Since our performance for Cinderella is coming up next week I thought it would be a fun thing to work on something having to do with musicals. I mostly did the research funny enough at free times I had at practice. I thought it would be motivation for me to get my script done. I am worried about finding all the necessary clips I need, but that can easily be fixed with fewer examples. Below I have the introduction to the film essay introducing the topics. Above I then have my storyboard as an outline for how I will structure my video. I will be discussing the musical genre and then musicals in film.
