What theme or concept will you explore this year?

The theme I want to explore this year is stories and histories. I've always been drawn to history, any history. I love going to the renaissance faire, researching history, looking at history in art. With history there is so much to discover whether it be myths or real life fact. I really like art and history from the Victorian and the renaissance so I thought this would be the perfect time to represent these histories into film. Sometimes we don't appreciate or over look history and say that we don't need it, but sometimes its good to look at history and think about how far we've come. Its part of the worlds history. Most films don't capture the accuracy of history and that's ok as long as the histories and stories are told. My goal is to take history and make it a more modern tale. I will still use historical costumes (if I can find them or have them) and use art that has inspired me to create these films. Renaissance artists brought poetry into art, and it would bring your own imaginary world to life. Bringing art, history, and film will be a fun project to do this year in film class. I wanted to explore history and art for film this year is because I really like to learn about events that has happened around the world and being able to see what life was like before. The fun thing about using history in film is that you can use any history from around the world, people history’s and myth.
