 This film is definitely one of my favorite projects I've worked on. There are still a few things I could have changed, but every film will have its flaws. This film is the sequel to my first film The Modern Ladies of History, and this film is called Into the future. This film was a lot of fun to do since I got to also spend a weekend with my cousins, Mikayla and Natalie. They both where a big help with this film and I really appreciate their help. There are a few times where the audio is not the best due to the wind or other noises that where hard to eliminate. Other than that the film looks really good. I hope you enjoy the film!

Hugo Reflection Questions

In Hugo, Georges Méliès, who does not want to remember the part of his life where he created fantastic and magical worlds through films, states, “My life has taught me one lesson, Hugo Cabret, and not the one I thought it would. Happy endings only happen in the movies.” Why does Méliès say this? He says this because in his films he’s been able to live a fantasy life and love out his dreams, but in real life he is stuck in one place. He feels like he’s accomplished something so great but he’s not able to feel like what he did doesn't get him an own happy ending. He himself can’t live up to his own legacy and have his own happy ending to his own life  Why does he want to forget about the films he made? Pre-Production Blog Post 4

  For my last film this year, I decided to make a film essay. I liked what Aaron decided to do so I thought I’d give it a try. I decided to do my film essay on the musical genres and film musicals. Since our performance for Cinderella is coming up next week I thought it would be a fun thing to work on something having to do with musicals. I mostly did the research funny enough at free times I had at practice. I thought it would be motivation for me to get my script done. I am worried about finding all the necessary clips I need, but that can easily be fixed with fewer examples. Below I have the introduction to the film essay introducing the topics. Above I then have my storyboard as an outline for how I will structure my video. I will be discussing the musical genre and then musicals in film.
